Granite

Granite is a natural stone mined all over the world, most commonly in Brazil, India and Canada. Once removed from the mine, the granite is cut into more manageable slabs and polished by large machines which give it that smooth water like surface. Since granite is a natural stone no two slabs are ever identical, this gives customers a product that is unique to their home. With a wide variety of colours, grains and texture throughout the stone, there are many options to meet almost any design need. Granite can also be purchased in different finishes. The standard finish is a polished surface however some colours are also available with a honed or antiqued finish.

Granite is scratch and heat resistant; these qualities make it an ideal product for kitchen applications as well as a variety of different uses. Some other uses include bathroom vanities, tub surrounds, shower bases and table tops as well as fireplace surrounds and can even be used outdoors around barbeques.
