Caring For Ottawa Quartz
With showrooms serving Ottawa, West Ottawa, Carp, Kanata, Stittsville, West Carleton, Dunrobin, and Arnprior, you can always stop by TNT for care tips for any of your natural stone countertops. In the meantime, here are some quick tips on how to care for your Quartz countertops…
As a non-porous stone, you don’t have to worry about staining Quartz. That doesn’t mean you should leave red wine on the countertops… wipe it up… but don’t stress.
Unlike Ottawa granite, Quartz countertops are not heat resistant and will need a hot pad underneath pots or pans so you don’t damage them.
When washing your quartz countertops, use warm water with dish soap for regular maintenance. Nothing more is needed for daily use.
If there is a challenging area to clean… say something you left to dry and it is now merging with the countertop, you can use a gentle cleaner. And never use something to “chip away” at something stuck on your counters as quartz is not as durable as other stones like Ottawa granite.
